Just havin’ a bit of fun!
I’ve never been that keen on two-wheels, always looked great but when they flew past you at stupid miles an hour on the road to Bala or Snowdon, you just felt there was no need!! But the freedom idea is there - though it is a bit selfish and I have never understood how these family guys took themselves off for a day or a week to the Isle of Man, or Monza in Italy for a long weekend - maybe I just wasn’t t hat kind of fella.
But, whilst it was never a Ducati or Honda Gold Wing, as beautiful as they both may be that attracted me - I remembered my time riding a scooter as a token Mod when I was 16 and 17 - a lifetime ago - “when I wore younger man’s clothes” - I just love that line - It’s from a Billy Joel song btw… - great😀
